Wow what a cold week---temps in the single digits! But hey this was a family of skiiers so they are braver then me! Mom had this idea back in September but we didn't have much snow until last week (yeah....I'm all for snow just before Christmas and then melting!) The last time I did their photos there were just three kids and now they've added a DARLING little girl that looks just like big sis did 2 years ago!!
I will be posting sessions from the past month or so that I've been to swamped to post!! So stay tuned!!!
On a positive note, almost all orders are out! Hopefully you have your holiday cards and your friends are loving them and grandparents like their updated photos!!!
I recently did a session for a client who wanted "non perfect pictures", just real life. Well with this family non-perfect was pretty close to perfect!! I know this family well and they are awesome. Full of love, laughter and definitely some spunk!! What makes this session's end results pretty funny is how crazy it started.....
2:50 pm- Me sitting in the Las Vegas airport heading home after being in LA and Vegas for 7 days of sessions. I get a phone call from my husband telling me the family called about our session at 4:00 pm that day!! My plane is supposed to land at 4:10.
Oops...quick check the sunset times, daylight savings hasn't started, we may have time! Sunset time is 6:00 pm. Call my ride, ask them to be on the curb and ON TIME. Darn, the plane doesn't land early like all my other flights! We drive directly to the designated location, open my suitcases and start pulling equipment out....get started and wow, we pulled it off!!
Anyways, I love everything about this session and this family!! Enjoy
I don't know if it's that I also have 3 "all" boys at my house to, but I absolutely loved this session. To me it's the "epitome" boy session. With the dog (and how cute is this dog) and the jeans and white tshirts, it is just perfect. These kids were full of personality and all got along so well together!
So I had a few sessions in Utah County a few weeks back. I have a location planned and arrive only to find a wedding reception. (Who is brave enough to do an outdoor wedding reception in Utah in October???) Anyways, I quickly start driving around and I pulled into a neighborhood and found an empty lot that look like a nice field! You can find the beauty anywhere if you look AND then put these striking people in and it's a homerun.
This family was laughing and playing the whole time. Kudo's to mom and dad for raising such wonderful kids who as adults still love being together (and even for family photos!).
After this family left, I got to spend an equally great time with these 2 cuties! We were a bit more adventurous and headed to some more spots. Love what we ended up with!
Miss K and I were college roomies, what 10 years ago???? Anyways, her cute family moved away for a few years and I was so glad to see them return. While they were gone the boys got taller and handsome and T just got even more cuteness. Mom and dad, seriously got younger and better looking if that is possible!!!
If you follow my blog much you will recognize a few of these cuties! This day I got the chance to work with the whole good looking bunch! 6 kids- all sweet, beautiful and well mannered! Dad and mom are doing a great job! I love how so many of these turned out and if the sun hadn't set we could of been there a lot longer!!!
Wow, I really am MIA on my blog posting and I have so many darling kids and families to share. Here are a few new friends I met in Santa Monica.
Speaking of California, it looks like I may be planning one last trip to the LA area the weekend of Nov. 20-22- so email quick if you want a session!
Mom has two little cuties close in age, so she gets to stay busy. But how can you not love the busyness that comes with being around these sweet things?
And then just around the corner from the above kids, was this sweet family. They all got along so great. It was a fun surprise for dad, until he came home from work. Oh well, I told him- his gift was not having to be in them this time :)! (even though I like to think I'm a pretty painless photographer!)
Beautiful Alex is a Sr. at Alta High! We had fun and she was a trooper changing in the car, walking a long ways in heels and still looking gorgeous through it all!! She's interested in drama and acting, and after our session together, I'd say she's got a great chance!!!
I know while I was off in CA and Vegas doing sessions, I neglected the blog! I'm hoping to unbury myself in the loads of editing I know have and stay on top of sharing here!!
ALSO, if you want a session before the holidays, the deadline is fast approaching! Sessions need to be done by Nov. 15 and orders in by Nov. 30th!!
I met sweet T when I was in Denver and she offered to assist in a commercial shoot. I don't know if she knew entirely what she was getting herself into, but she was invaluable and alot of fun to have around! So we did a shoot the next day and wow, did they not pull together a darling look in a record 12 hrs- a whirlwind run around to some stores and through a friends closet and voila!!!! Love the pop of color!

Utah clients I'm staying put for a while after this week so if you want to book your session we have about 4 weeks left before I'm stopping with the sessions so I can fill all your orders for the holidays! I do have some available times on Saturdays, so plan early!!
